Community care services through Merry Den are flexible depending on the needs of the individual. These needs are fully assessed by Merry Den and the Social Services before support commences, so residents are receiving exactly what is needed to enable them live as independently as possible. And our support workers are fully trained to be able to offer flexible, bespoke support.
Typical services include:
- Bathing, washing and personal hygiene;
- Practical support e.g. ironing, help getting dressed;
- Support with reading & writing;
- Nutritional care;
- Financial help and correspondence (bills, pensions, cash, benefits etc);
- Shopping; and
- Health care.
All the support offered by our fully trained team members aims to help improve people’s daily living skills so they can live within their own home environment. A large part of what we do within community care in addition to this is to provide support for social interaction by supporting service users on trips outside of the home and by using these opportunities to make them more socially aware.
